Back to School Night!

We are so excited to begin this new school year, and will be having a Back to School Night Event on Tuesday. Please read below for more information. Have a great weekend!

Back to School Night Information:

Back to School Night will be held on Tuesday, September 13th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. This is a great opportunity to see the school, meet your student’s teachers and learn more about their classes. Our address is 525 School St. SW. See you then!

Progress Reports and Online Gradebook Access

Students will be given a progress report every other week as a way to help students and parents keep track of grades. The first progress report will be sent home next week. In the upcoming weeks we will also send home more information about how students and parents can access the online gradebook to track student progress.

After School Activities

After School Activities are now in full swing. Students who want to participate in these activities must fill out a permission form. Please call the front office (202-796-2415) for more information or to enroll your child. A list of current clubs is listed below.

Monday September 12th – Student Government
Tuesday September 13th – Orchestra
Wednesday September 14th – TBA
Thursday September 15th – Rowing and Orchestra
Friday September 16th – Orchestra and Tennis (starts Sept. 16th)

Haiku Learning

As of today, students and parents can now access our online learning website. This website provides homework reminders, important due dates and other information about what is occurring in the different classes. To create an account, you will need to complete the following steps:

Go to the website:
https://www.myhaikuclass.com/wgpcs/wgpcs/signup

When prompted enter the code: JYSJF.

You will then be asked to identify whether you are a student or parent and will create an account by selecting “register” at the bottom of the screen.
